When you exceed your coping skills?

 

What do you do when your pain or trauma or symptoms exceeds your coping skills?

I have read a quote on this before and the second part is “reduce pain or add coping skills”.

How?

 

Therapy tomorrow afternoon seems too far away. It seems to be getting harder. I am very overwhelmed. Feeling quite unwell right now.

  1. Take a deep breath, close your eyes. Imagine Jesus kneeling in front of you with a basin of water. He is here to serve, allow him to wash your feet. He loves you soooooooo much. He wants to take your pain. Call out to HIM. You don’t have anything to lose and everything to gain. Ask him to send you comfort, I am lifting you up in prayer right now. Please just say JESUS— There is power in HIS name!! BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!

  2. Just take one breath at a time. Focus on that one breath. Then on the next. Meditation is very much my number one coping strategy. I can recommend some good hooks and CDs if you like?
